Maria Droste Counseling Center is partnering with Fossil Trace Golf Club (Golden, CO), voted a 4 ½ Star Place to Play in America by Golf Digest and the premier golf destination in Colorado, for our 8th Annual Golf Tournament.
MDCC Golf Tournament Rules and Format
We are playing a SCRAMBLE format. Each player will tee off, the group then selects a single ball to play from; each places a ball within 1 club length of the chosen tee shot. Each team member hits their next shot from the chosen spot – this procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. Shots from the rough must be played from the rough, sand from the sand, etc…. Record your team score on the official scorecard beginning with your starting hole. Ties are broken by scorecard playoff – lowest handicap hole.
Due to COVID-19 we will be playing in a STAGGERED start. Starting at 8:30, foursomes will be able to tee off every 10 minutes. We will be providing slots for each foursome (when you register) and we request that no one shows up more than 30 minutes before their tee time.
There will be prizes, but it’s TBD. Please check back here in the next weeks as we will update this page with the prizes as they are finalized.
COVID-19 Precautions and Modifications
Alongside Fossil Trace’s precautions that are in accordance with Jefferson County and Colorado State Mandates, MDCC will NOT be hosting a gathering for lunch. There will be a hospitality location where you can pick up your meals and check-in (this space will be outside and limited to 30 people at a time with social distancing). Please note, you can choose to share a cart or use a cart as a single person.
